If you are looking to buy from us, we ask that you first read these terms.

In all cases we aim to act with kindness, and ask you return this favour.

If you are here it is because you also believe in saving great fabric for reuse. That said, we do ask that you consider carefully your purchase. This is a distance sale and in a large part based on the good faith of both parties.

We have done our best to ensure the images and descriptions match the product. Personal interpretation is something we have no control over.

If, for any reason, you are unsure, please ask us first. If you are still unsure, we recommend you do not buy.

As always, in all cases, if there is an issue, please reach out to us, preferably via email at info@arkdefo.com and allow us to find an amicable solution to any concerns you may have.

Nothing leaves our studio without rigorous quality checking procedures to ensure high quality. Customer satisfaction is important to us.

DAMAGE & DEADSTOCK

We sell deadstock fabrics. It is factory surplus that may include minor defects, such as tiny holes, thread pulls or factory edge damage.

We do our best to ensure no damage. We try to keep any potential damage to the perimeter of the fabric to maintain the usable area, but pattern piece placements can usually be adjusted.

Any larger damage would be considered a “remnant” cut and sold as such.

By agreeing to our terms, you have made yourself aware of this point and that deadstock fabrics can include minor defects.

If the return is based on damage, we will review our records to cross reference. We reserve the right to reduce the refund if the images do not match and the item is no longer in its original “sold” state.


RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

Our online fabric shop is a deadstock fabric offering. All fabric is sold on the roll, cut to your order, in 1m, 2m or 3m lengths.

CUSTOM-CUT FABRIC AND YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

All fabric is sold on the roll and cut to your order. We cap lengths at 3m so we can guarantee a continuous, mark-free section from our deadstock rolls.

Because your fabric is cut to your specification, it isn't eligible for the right of withdrawal, under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This applies from the moment you place your order. We make this clear on every product listing before you buy.


NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL ON CUSTOM-CUT ORDERS

As set out above, because every order is cut to your specification, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This is the case from the moment you place your order.


This is separate from your rights if something is genuinely wrong with your order - see DAMAGE & DEADSTOCK above, and please contact us if anything arrives faulty, incorrect, or not as described.


RETURNS PROCESS

If something has genuinely gone wrong with your order - damaged, faulty, or not as described - please email info@arkdefo.com with your order details, what's wrong, and photos.


SHIPPING COSTS

If your order is confirmed as faulty or incorrect, we will cover return shipping.

Where a fault claim is confirmed, the product price and the cost of standard delivery will be refunded. Any upgraded or express delivery services selected at checkout are non-refundable.


REFUNDS

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days of receiving and your returns notification. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received and inspected.


ORDER CANCELLATION

As set out above, orders have no statutory right of withdrawal once placed, because the fabric is cut to your specification (see Article 16(c), above). As a gesture of goodwill, we will try to accommodate a cancellation request made before cutting has actually begun, but we are not obliged to and cannot guarantee this once your order is in our production queue. Please contact us immediately if you need to change an order.

We always aim for a speedy delivery, so please contact us immediately to discuss any cancellation request.

RETURN ADDRESS

Please email us at info@arkdefo.com to receive the correct return address, clearly marking your return shipment as returned goods on any customs or postal forms.


COLOUR VARIANCE

We take care to represent colours as accurately as possible. However, minor variations in colour due to screen settings, lighting conditions, or device display do not constitute a defect or incorrect item.

If this makes you uncomfortable we do suggest you reconsider your purchase before placing an order.


PROCESSING RETURNS

We will always try to handle your return as quickly as possible and you will receive an email when your return has been processed. We recommend making a note of the shipping reference provided to you when sending a return to us.

RESERVED RIGHTS

Arkdefo reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in cases of pricing errors, stock discrepancies, suspect fraud, breach of our terms, abusive conduct, or other legitimate business reasons.
